UMaine Board of Trustees meet to consider tenure candidates, facilities improvement proposals


MACHIAS, Maine — The University of Maine System Board of Trustees is meeting to consider candidates for tenure and other proposals to improve and relocate university facilities.

The board is meeting Sunday and Monday at the University of Maine at Machias.

It's examining 26 candidates for tenure from five of the system's seven universities. It's also considering several proposals regarding university facilities, including University of Maine Farmington's request to renovate Dearborn Gymnasium.
