BALTIMORE — The Maryland State Highway Administration says it is preparing for a Thursday morning snow storm expected to impact southern Maryland and the lower Eastern Shore.

Officials say the highway administration will deploy additional crews to assist with disabled cars and help direct traffic through the storm, should weather conditions warrant such a response.

In a release on Wednesday the highway administration warned motorists to make preparations for their Thursday morning commutes by checking weather forecasts and driving carefully.
