5 dead in shootings in Baltimore in less than 24 hours

BALTIMORE — Police say five people are dead in shootings in Baltimore over less than 24 hours.

Police say one man died after a shooting around 11 p.m. Friday in the unit block of Benkert Ave.

Just before midnight, police were called to the 1900 block of Wilhelm St. where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and a third man with a neck wound. One of the men with a head wound died. The two others are in critical condition.

Another man was found dead in the 100 block of S. Augusta Ave. around 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

Police also reported the shooting deaths Saturday of a woman in the 2000 block of Hollins St. and a man in the 2800 block of St Lo Dr.
