Former Colts defensive tackle Antonio Johnson signs one-year deal with Tennessee Titans

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The Tennessee Titans have signed free-agent defensive tackle Antonio Johnson to a one-year contract.

The move was announced Monday through a team release.

Johnson started 13 games and made 30 tackles last year for the Indianapolis Colts. He has played 67 games and has made 46 starts over the last five seasons for Indianapolis. His best season came in 2009, when he started 15 games and made 57 tackles.

The Titans originally selected Johnson out of Mississippi State in the fifth round of the 2007 draft. He hurt his knee in training camp and spent the entire 2007 season on injured reserve. The Colts signed him off the Titans' practice squad in 2008.

In another move, the Titans waived rookie undrafted free-agent linebacker Tom Wort, who failed his physical.
