Former Bismarck Jaycees leader pleads not guilty to embezzling $18,500 from organization


BISMARCK, North Dakota — A former president and treasurer of the Bismarck Jaycees has pleaded not guilty to embezzling $18,500 from the organization.

Tammie Scott could face up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine if convicted on the felony charge of misapplication of entrusted property.

The Bismarck Tribune reports ( ) that Scott is alleged to have taken the money between December 2012 and January 2014, while serving as Jaycees treasurer.
