Trooper: 1 dead, 2 injured after truck crashes into pedestrians in Pontotoc County

ADA, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a teenager is dead after a truck crashed into three pedestrians.

Troopers say 18-year-old Stormy Yargee was killed Monday while walking down a road in Pontotoc County near Ada. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

They say 20-year-old Shelby Harjo was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries but described her condition as stable. An unidentified 17-year-old boy was taken to an area hospital and released.

Troopers haven't determined what caused the 21-year-old female driver to hit the group from behind. The woman and her 5-year-old passenger weren't injured.

No charges have been reported.
