Regents name Tim Miller as interim president at Murray State University

MURRAY, Kentucky — The Murray State Board of Regents has named Tim Miller as interim president at the school in western Kentucky.

WPSD-TV (http://bit.ly/19OwYbD) reports the action came Friday during a special meeting.

Miller has been associated with the school for 50 years and served as interim president in 2006 before the board hired Randy Dunn.

The board voted 7-4 on March 15 to not renew Dunn's contract. The board re-affirmed the vote May 10. Dunn was chosen the same day to be the next president of Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.

Board of Regents Chairman Constantine Curris nominated Miller for the position.
