Police say pedestrian dies after being struck by car in Rock Hill; investigation ongoing


ROCK HILL, South Carolina — Authorities say a pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Rock Hill.

Multiple news outlets report that the incident happened Tuesday evening.

In a statement, the Rock Hill Police Department says the pedestrian was struck and killed by a car while crossing a road around 6:10 p.m. Police have not released the victim's identity.

Police say the driver was not injured.

Rock Hill police and the York County Coroner's Office are investigating.
