Police identify Prince George's County stabbing victim

UPPER MARLBORO, Maryland — Prince George's County police have identified a man who was fatally stabbed inside a banquet hall in Landover as 32-year-old Emory Hursey of Washington.

Police say patrol officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a banquet hall on Landover Road at about 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, they discovered Hursey suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police say Hursey was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that a party was being held at the banquet hall and Hursey likely became involved in a fight before he was stabbed. Police have not yet identified any suspects.
