Alleyne's 20 points, 19 rebounds carry Oregon to 70-69 win over Washington State

PULLMAN, Washington — Jillian Alleyne had 20 points and 19 rebounds and Oregon held on to defeat Washington State 70-69 Friday night.

Lia Galdeira's jumper with 13 seconds left pulled Washington State within one but after Drea Toler missed two free throws with eight seconds left Galdeira missed a short, contested runner in the lane at 2.2 seconds. Alleyne grabbed the rebound and was fouled but after she missed both free throws, Jordan Loera grabbed the offensive rebound to secure the win.

Lexi Bando hit four 3-pointers and scored 14 points for the Ducks (11-11, 4-7 Pac-12), who won their third straight, and Katelyn Loper had 11.

Galdeira had 20 points, Mariah Cooks 19 and Tia Presley 16 for the Cougars (13-9, 4-7), who made 7 of 22 behind the arc while Oregon was 10 of 21.

Washington State, which lost its third straight, beat the Ducks in Eugene 79-76 on Jan. 18.
