Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Texas man trying to cross Interstate 35 struck, killed by vehicle

ARDMORE, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Texas man trying to cross Interstate 35 on foot near Ardmore was struck and killed by a pickup truck.

An OHP report says 49-year-old Gary Carleton Graves of Whitesboro, Texas, was struck just before 8:30 p.m. Friday and was dead at the scene.

The report says Graves was trying to cross the interstate from west to east when he was struck by a southbound pickup truck. The driver and four passengers in the pickup were not injured.
