WASHINGTON — Metro says some passengers traveling on the orange, blue, yellow and red lines will wait longer for trains this weekend.

Metro says trains on the orange, blue and yellow lines will operate every 20 minutes throughout the weekend. On the red line, trains between Shady Grove and Glenmont will operate every 15 minutes. On Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. there will be trains every eight to 10 minutes between Friendship Heights and Silver Spring.

Metro says green line trains will run on a regular weekend schedule, but free shuttle buses will replace trains at the Greenbelt Station only on Saturday and Sunday.

The silver line will have regular weekend service.
