HOUSTON — Montrael Scott scored 15 points to lead Prairie View A&M to its fourth-straight win over Jackson State, 70-55, on Saturday.

Jayrn Johnson added 11 points for Prairie View (3-14, 1-3 Southwestern Athletic), while Tre Hagood and Jacoby Green scored 10 apiece. Hagood also had eight assists.

A pair of free throws by Raeford Worsham with 4:42 left in the first half pulled Jackson State (4-14, 2-3) within five, but a jumper by Scott and a dunk by Johnson sparked a 12-1 run and gave the Panthers a 36-20 lead.

Jackson State trailed by double digits the rest of the way.

Prairie View made 23 of 49 (46.9 percent) field goals, including 8 of 16 from 3-point range, while the Tigers shot just 32.8 percent and 2 of 18 (11.1 percent) from deep.

Derrell Taylor led Jackson State with 18 points.
