Celtic beats Motherwell 1-0 for 7th straight win in Scottish league, preserves 3-point lead

GLASGOW, Scotland — Celtic won its seventh straight match in the Scottish Premiership, beating Motherwell 1-0 to preserve the champions' three-point lead on Saturday.

Anthony Stokes scored Celtic's winner in the sixth minute following a defensive error.

Inverness remained in second after beating Dundee 2-1 away, and Aberdeen defeated Hamilton 3-0 to move above its opponent to fourth place.
