GLENDALE, Arizona — Authorities are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside his Glendale home.

Glendale police were called around 6 p.m. Thursday after 43-year-old Kyle Carnell was found dead inside his bedroom by an acquaintance.

According to police, the acquaintance went to the home after unsuccessfully trying to reach Carnell by phone throughout the day.

Police say the Carnell's gunshot wound didn't appear to be self-inflicted.

They say Carnell's exact time of death is unclear, but an acquaintance reportedly spoke to Carnell on Wednesday.

The circumstances of Carnell's death aren't known and police have yet to identify a suspect.
