ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — Albuquerque police have canceled an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old boy.

Police spokesman Simon Drobik says Adam Chavez is home safe with family members.

Police initially reported early Saturday that he was last seen with his mother, 36-year-old Melissa Garcia, and was considered in danger.

Authorities say they were last seen Friday around 7:30 p.m. in a black Acura.

Drobik did not release any additional details.
