Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says a fight broke out inside a Denny's at Santa Fe Drive and Alameda Avenue at about 3 a.m. Saturday and spilled out into the parking lot.
Multiple shots were fired, including one that went through the restaurant's front window, but it remains unclear how many times the victim was hit. Police say no one was sitting at the booth near the front window at the time of the shooting.
