Juneau teenager injured in crash while delivering pizzas remains in intensive care

JUNEAU, Alaska — A Juneau teenager injured in a car crash while delivering pizzas remains in serious condition at a Seattle hospital.

The Juneau Empire (http://bit.ly/ywqvtM) reports 18-year-old high school senior Lane Nashoanak is in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center with injuries to his heart, legs and hip.

Police say Nashoanak was driving on a Mendenhall Valley road Jan. 18 when a pickup truck crossed the center line and smashed into his small car.

Emergency responders had to extricate him from the car.

The 50-year-old driver of the pickup was treated and released at the crash scene. Police say their investigation continues and no citations have been issued.

Domino's restaurant owner Fred Tallmadge says Nashoanak was hired in July.
