Gulfport police investigate fatal shooting, victim shot in parking lot of convenience store

GULFPORT, Mississippi — Gulfport police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in the parking lot of a convenience store.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1wOD9Wb) police identified the victim as 19-year-old Raymond Howze III, of Gulfport.

Police Chief Leonard Papania says they were looking for a man about 5-foot-6 and 150 pounds, wearing a red hoodie and tan pants. Papania says the suspect left the scene of Sunday night's shooting in a white 2008 Chevy Cobalt.

Papania says police have no motive for the slaying.
