BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — A north Alabama man has been sentenced in a series of armed robbery in Jefferson County.

Federal prosecutors say 41-year-old Jamey Lee Matthews of Blount County was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in prison and is ordered to pay $202,000 in restitution.

Investigators say Matthews committed four robberies between October 11 and October 19, 2012. Prosecutors say Matthews brandished a gun in each incident, but fired shots and wounded a customer during one of the robberies.
