AUGUSTA, Maine — Augusta police are looking for the man who appeared to have a gun when he robbed a city convenience store.

Police say the suspect entered the Quick Mart on Western Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, demanded money from the register and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The police report says the suspect "was believed to have a handgun on his person."

No one was hurt.

The robber was described as a white male with a slim to medium build, 20 to 30 years old, and was wearing a red and black jacket, a gray bomber-style hat, and aviator sunglasses.

Police are asking anyone who has information about the robbery to contact them.
