BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's detectives have arrested a teacher from Christian Life Academy for an alleged intimate relationship with a juvenile student two years ago.

A sheriff's office news release Tuesday says 27-year-old Amber Anderson has been booked on a charge of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Bond information was not immediately available. It was unknown if she has an attorney who could comment on the charges.

Authorities say the boy's mother contacted the sheriff's office about an alleged relationship between Anderson and her son two years ago when he was 15-years-old. The victim told detectives that the two exchanged sexually explicit text messages and later engaged in sex at her residence in 2013.
