MIAMI — Federal prosecutors want a Miami judge to reduce by more than a year the prison sentence being served by the former owner of a clinic that supplied banned substances to baseball players including New York Yankees star .

A court document filed by prosecutors Wednesday asks that 's imprisonment be reduced from four years to 32 months. The Miami U.S. attorney's office cites Bosch's extensive cooperation for the request, which amounts to about one-third off.

Bosch ran the now-closed Biogenesis of America clinic in Coral Gables, accepting thousands of dollars for banned substances used by Rodriguez and other players. Bosch pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute testosterone. Seven other people admitted roles in the operation.

Rodriguez served a season-long suspension but resumed his Yankees career last year.
