NEW YORK — The driver of a car smashed by snow and ice from a plow is counting his blessings.
Adam Bernheim was covered by glass shards from his shattered windshield after the plow crossed an overpass and shoved an avalanche onto his car below.
At the time, Bernheim was heading to his job at Staten Island University Hospital.
Bernheim tells WABC (http://bit.ly/1e4exhK ) that the Friday incident was "terrifying" but could have been much worse.
He knows because he's a radiologist specializing in chest trauma.
