ARCADIA, California — Distinctiv Passion led all the way to win the $75,000 Joe Hernandez Stakes by 4¼ lengths in driving rain Sunday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Edwin Maldonado, Distinctiv Passion ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14.33 after the race was moved from the hillside turf course to the main track because of the weather.

Distinctiv Passion returned $3.20 and $2.40. There was no show wagering because of the four-horse field.

Seeking the Sherif returned $2.60, and Chief Lion was another 4¾ lengths back in third.

The victory, worth $45,480, increased Distinctiv Passion's career earnings to $393,660, with seven wins in 15 starts.
