BILLINGS, Montana — A Hardin man has agreed to a plea deal in the 2013 stabbing death of a St. Xavier man whose body was found in a river.

The Billings Gazette reports ( 40-year-old John Harold Holds III will plead guilty Oct. 10 to second-degree murder as part of a plea agreement. The prosecution is expected to recommend a 15-year prison sentence in exchange for the plea.

Holds is charged in the death of 42-year-old Franklin Red Wolf on the Crow Reservation on Nov. 2, 2013.
