DETROIT — Pre-kindergarten students at one Detroit public school will be treated to a special breakfast of green eggs and ham as part of "March is Reading Month."

The district says Ronald Brown Academy Principal Georgina Tait first will read the Dr. Seuss' classic "Green Eggs and Ham" to the students Monday morning.

It is one of hundreds of reading and literacy activities scheduled throughout March in district schools. The activities are designed to teach students the importance of reading.
