PORTLAND, Oregon — Oregon State Police on the Columbia Gorge are seeking the public's help after the discovery of a slain doe deer in Wasco County.

The doe was found by area residents in late June, and evidence shows the deer was shot from the roadway and left to waste.

Oregon State Police Trooper Brent Ocheskey is investigating the discovery and believes the doe also had a fawn in the area.

The state police are asking for tips on their poachers hotline at 1-800-452-7888.
