Police: 25-year-old man is dead after being struck by a train in Tucson's downtown area

TUCSON, Arizona — Police in Tucson say a 25-year-old man is dead after being struck by train in the city's downtown area.

They say officers were called at the scene about 9 p.m. Wednesday and found the man dead.

His name hasn't been released yet.

It wasn't immediately clear what the man was doing on the tracks when he was struck.

Police say Union Pacific Railroad officials are investigating the death.
