BELLEVILLE, New Jersey — Authorities say a man and woman found dead in their northern New Jersey home this week apparently died in a murder-suicide.

Essex County prosecutors tell NJ.com (http://bit.ly/1tC47nw) that police found the bodies of 47-year-old John Sykes and 23-year-old Felicia Hunt in their Belleville home on Friday night. Officers had gone to the home around 6:30 p.m. to check on Sykes after he failed to show up for work.

Anthony Ambrose, the chief of detectives for the prosecutor's office, said it appears Sykes apparently killed Hunt before taking his own life. But further details on the deaths have not been disclosed.

Authorities say the two lived together at the house and "appeared" to be involved in a relationship.
