KALAMAZOO, Michigan — Tucker Haymond scored 27 points, a career high, and Western Michigan rolled Buffalo 91-71 on Saturday.

Haymond was 9 of 14 from the floor and 5 of 8 beyond the arc for the Broncos (8-11, 2-4 Mid-American). Thomas Wilder scored 20 points, going 11 of 14 from the line, and Bryce Moore added 15 points. Western Michigan shot nearly 51 percent and made 13 of 21 3-point attempts.

Buffalo (10-9, 3-3) was led by Willie Conner with 17 points. Nick Perkins scored 13 points, Blake Hamilton had 11 points and eight rebounds and Jarryn Skeete added 10.

Western Michigan raced out to a 17-2 lead — including a pair of 3-pointers by Haymond. A 13-4 run near the end of the first half put the Broncos up 48-30 at intermission and Buffalo never really threatened after the break.
