Bond set at $75,000 for VA man accused of hauling 24 pounds of marijuana through South Dakota

RAPID CITY, South Dakota — A South Dakota judge has set bond at $75,000 for a Virginia man accused of hauling 24 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his rental car.

A South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper stopped 28-year-old Tam Hoang Nguyen (wihn) for speeding eight miles east of Rapid City on Sunday.

The Rapid City Journal reports (http://bit.ly/11PQOx9 ) that Nguyen allowed the trooper to search the car, and denied having any knowledge of the drugs found in the trunk.
