Separate jury trials set for pair accused in Oklahoma shooting rampage that killed 3

TULSA, Oklahoma — Separate jury trials have been set a month apart early next year for a pair of men charged with fatally shooting three people in Tulsa.

Court records indicate that Alvin Watts will go on trial Feb. 3, 2014. Jake England's trial is set to begin March 3, 2014.

The men are charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the Easter weekend 2012 shootings of William Allen, Bobby Clark and Dannaer Fields. They were killed as they walked near their homes in Tulsa. Two others were shot and wounded.

All five victims are black. England and Watts also face hate crimes charges and have pleaded not guilty. Watts is white. England says he's Cherokee Indian.

Prosecutors have said they will seek the death penalty for both men.
