NEW ORLEANS — Police are looking for a 26-year-old man that they say shot another man on Bourbon Street Sunday morning.

New Orleans police say they believe Wendell Butler shot an unnamed 43-year-old man after the two got into an argument over their girlfriends. They're seeking to arrest Butler on a warrant charging him with aggravated battery.

The incident happened just before 8 a.m. Sunday.

Police say Butler shot the other man once each in his arm and leg. The victim was taken to a hospital where he underwent surgery.
