Hommes scores 25, leads Montana State women to 65-57 win over Montana

BOZEMAN, Montana — Jasmine Hommes scored a career-high tying 25 points and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds Saturday to lead Montana State over Big Sky Conference champion Montana 65-57 in their regular-season finale.

Hannah Caudill scored 10 points for the Bobcats (15-14, 9-9), who scored the first 11 points of the game. Hommes scored on a fast break and the Bobcats led 30-17 at halftime, outrebounding Montana, which shot just 22 percent, 22-13.

Montana got hot in the second half, with McCalle Feller hitting a 3 and Kellie Rubel making a three-point play to cut MSU's lead to 33-28, then got cold again. Caudill hit a 3 and a jumper amid a 12-0 run and MSU led 48-31, then Hommes hit a jumper and the Bobcats were in control 60-45 with 1:42 left.

Rubel scored 16 for Montana (21-8, 14-4) and Feller had 14.
