DAVIS, California — Corey Hawkins pumped in 30 points and UC Davis closed out its Big West Conference regular-season championship with an 80-61 win over UC Irvine on Saturday night.

The Aggies (24-5, 14-2) clinched the regular-season crown Thursday and heads into the Big West tournament as the No. 1 seed. They'll open against eighth-seeded Cal State-Northridge on Thursday in Anaheim. UC Irvine (18-12, 11-5) will be the No. 3 seed and face No. 6 UC Riverside.

Hawkins finishes his career as part of Division I college basketball's No. 2 all-time father-son scoring duo. He and his father, Hersey, combined to score more than 4,600 points. Dell Curry and his son, Stephen, finished with 5,020.

The Aggies trailed by four at intermission, but Hawkins jumper with 15:34 remaining gave UC Davis the lead for good, 38-37.

Will Davis II and Mamadou Ndiaye finished with 12 and 11 points, respectively, for UC Irvine.
