Officials say Dallas Center bicyclist died after being hit near Adel in central Iowa

DALLAS CENTER, Iowa — Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was hit while riding a bicycle near Adel in central Iowa.

The Dallas County sheriff's office says the body of 67-year-old Edward Giedraitis was found along a road Sunday morning. Investigators believe the Dallas Center man was hit sometime after 10 p.m. on Saturday.

No other information was immediately released.
