Jedinak, Ryan recalled to Australia squad for Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh WCup qualifiers


SYDNEY — Captain Mile Jedinak and goalkeeper Mat Ryan have been recalled to Australia's squad for the World Cup qualifiers agaisnt Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh.

Uncapped defender Josh Risdon was also named by coach in a 23-man squad for the matches in Canberra on Nov. 12 and in Dhaka on Nov. 17.

Jedinak and Ryan haven't played for Australia since its opening qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek in June, missing wins over Bangladesh and Tajikistan and a loss to Jordan.

Midfielder Luke Brattan, who has signed with Manchester City and has been loaned to Bolton, defender Tarek Elrich and injured goalkeeper have all missed the cut.
