DC mayor: More than 200 trucks to be deployed in DC during snow storm

WASHINGTON — D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser says the District Snow Team will be deployed in Washington beginning at 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

Bowser said in a release on Wednesday that more than 200 snow trucks will be on their routes by 1 a.m. on Thursday to respond to an impending winter storm expected to dust the District with up to an inch of snow.

DC officials are asking residents to travel with caution, and asking property owners to put abrasives on their sidewalks before the storm starts. Officials say the snow is forecast to begin between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Thursday.
