MINOT, North Dakota — A man accused of firing at least eight bullets into a vehicle in Minot has pleaded guilty in a deal with prosecutors and been sentenced.

Thirty-three-year-old DeAlvis Harris will serve a little less than two years in prison for aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

He could have faced up to 21 years in prison had he been convicted on all of the charges against him.

Authorities said Harris fired at the car on a residential road as it fled the scene of an altercation on Sept. 23, wounding two men inside the vehicle.
