Police: 25-year-old man fatally shot in Hutchinson; suspect in custody

HUTCHINSON, Kansas — A man has died after being shot multiple times in Hutchinson.

According to Sgt. Eric Buller with the Hutchinson Police Department, officers found 25-year-old Jose Morales with multiple gunshot wounds around 3:50 p.m. Monday. A news release from the police department says he was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

The release also says that a 31-year-old man has been arrested on one count of first-degree murder in connection to the shooting. He is being held on $100,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
