Pedestrian hit, killed by car on busy Lakewood road; driver does not appear to be at fault


DENVER — Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lakewood.

Police say the man was crossing Wadsworth Boulevard near Sixth Avenue when he was hit by a car Thursday night. The driver, who did not appear to be at fault, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The Denver Post reports ( ) the pedestrian, whose name and age have not been released, died at the scene.
