TALLAHASSEE, Florida — Two current members of the Florida Public Service Commission are trying to keep their jobs on the utility-regulation panel.
PSC Chairman Ronald Brise and Commissioner Art Graham are among 24 people who applied for upcoming vacancies on the five-member commission. Brise and Graham's current terms end in January 2014.
The application deadline was Tuesday. A 12-member nominating council — which includes several legislators — must give Gov. Rick Scott a list of at least three finalists for each spot on the commission.
Others who applied for one of the two jobs include former state legislator Ken Littlefield, a senior engineer for Duke Energy as well as a former engineering and science director for Tampa Bay Water.
Those who are appointed to the PSC are paid $130,036 a year.
