BARCELONA, Spain — Michel Herrero's first-half goal gave Getafe a 1-0 win over visitors Malaga, ending its three-game losing streak in the Spanish league on Sunday.

Herrero slotted in a squared pass from Karim Yoda to score what proved to be the winner in the 25th minute. Malaga goalkeeper Carlo Kameni got his hand on the shot but couldn't keep it out.

It was Getafe's first goal in four games and only its third in six rounds this season.

Malaga went scoreless for the fourth time this season.

Malaga defender Weligton was sent off with a second yellow card in stoppage time.

Later, Valencia visits Real Sociedad, Espanyol plays at Cordoba, and Deportivo La Coruna hosts Almeria.
