HOUSTON — Houston police say three children have been found unharmed after their parents died in an apparent murder-suicide at the family's home.

Police say the couple's 7-year-old daughter ran to a neighbor's place early Thursday to report hearing gunfire.

The neighbor summoned police, who located the bodies of 24-year-old Phillip Deckard and 26-year-old Candace Williams in an upstairs bedroom.

Investigators believe the couple argued and Deckard shot his wife, then killed himself. Police did not immediately say what apparently led to the dispute.

Police say the couple's older daughter plus her siblings, ages 6 and 1, were at home during the gunfire but were taken in by the neighbor who called for help.
