WAGON MOUND, New Mexico — New Mexico State Police say an Arizona man died when the vehicle he was riding in overturned on an interstate.

Authorities say a Ford pickup truck heading northbound on Interstate 25 about 8 miles north of Wagon Mound rolled over Thursday.

They say the pickup somehow entered the median and overturned six times.

Police say 68-year-old Oscar Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 67-year-old Vivian Brown, also of Arizona, was airlifted to a hospital in Santa Fe and is listed in critical condition.

The accident remains under investigation but officials say driver inattention may have been a factor.
