CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids police say investigators have determined multiple shots fired from outside a home are to blame for the deaths of two people whose bodies were found inside the residence.

Police responded to a call Wednesday night at a home in a southeast Cedar Rapids neighborhood. They found the bodies an adult man and woman inside.

On Thursday, they were identified as 22-year-old Quintrell D. Perkins and 20-year-old Sierrah Rochelle Simmons. Both were Cedar Rapids residents.

Police say multiple shots were fired from outside into the dwelling.
