National Weather Service posts red flag warnings for areas of central and southwest Wyoming

Share/Save/Bookmark

CHEYENNE, Wyoming — The National Weather Service has posted red flag warnings for areas of central and southwest Wyoming.

The areas where the warnings have been posted Friday include Casper, Riverton, Lander and Rock Springs.

The agency says low humidity and critically dry conditions make for dangerous conditions if a fire should occur.

Wyoming has a few small wildfires burning, including two in the Shoshone National Forest.
