84-year-old man dead in NYC fire, cause of fire not known

NEW YORK — An 84-year-old man has died in a fire in Harlem.

Police and firefighters responded to the fire on West 154th Street at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday and found the man unconscious and unresponsive.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Police do not suspect arson.
