Eastern Kentucky man found dead in home after blaze; cause of fire under investigation

WILLIAMSBURG, Kentucky — An eastern Kentucky coroner says a man is dead after a house fire in Williamsburg.

WYMT-TV (http://bit.ly/11IUUx7) reports the blaze was reported before noon on Sunday at the Whitley County home. The coroner says 85-year-old Harold Carpenter was found dead after the fire was extinguished.

Carpenter's body was sent to Frankfort for an autopsy. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
